With the positive feedback received from the weapon calculator I’m brainstorming more features I can add to pd2skills.com that users will find helpful.
No one asked for a weapon calculator but when I threw the question out there the overwhelming response was “Yes please!” so I decided to build it. Yes I know it had been done elsewhere, there is a great google document floating around and you can find plenty of damage numbers elsewhere online, but no one else did what I wanted to do with pd2skills.com, that is make the numbers entirely based around you and your build! To me that is the beauty of pd2skills.com, there are so many possibilites in Payday 2 and the site caters your specific playstyle, regardless of what that is.
There still may be a bug or two to work out but overall I think the state of the weapon calculator will sove 80% of what everyone wants out of it, the main perk being to see your specific damage numbers accounting for your skills and mods. I’ve received a few requests to add more features to the weapon calculator such as DLC information and weapon costs; I may get to that if there is continued interest but that seems secondary to focusing on your specific builds. I’m wondering what the next feature you most want to see added to pd2skills.com is? I’ve received a few emails about adding support for importing and exporting pd2skills.com builds to and from HoxHud.
Here is a high level of the capabilities I’m thinking of:
- Ability to upload your HoxHud skill profiles to PD2Skills.com to view or edit them via the website.
- Continued support to share builds via the website link, even if they were uploaded from HoxHud.
- Ability to download PD2Skill.com builds into your HoxHud folder for direct use in game.
